Objective:

The objective of this policy is to give clear instruction to the parents about the communication procedure to be followed by parents.

Applicable to:

This Policy applies to all parents.

Rationale:

Good communication between the school and the parent is essential, and children achieve more when schools and parents work together. Parents can naturally help more if they will communicate with school community in a proper and effective manner.

Policy Guidelines:

In line with our policy to provide best of learning and related services, we follow some polices guidelines which will benefit both parents and the management. Though the same was discussed at the beginning of this academic session, we thought to reiterate the policy for a better appreciation of all.

Communication with Teachers:

Please communicate with teachers only through the communication diary. If you want to discuss some important / sensitive matter which cannot be mentioned in the diary, only then you can mention it in the diary and the teacher will get in touch with you as per her schedule.

Please do not request a telephonic appointment with the teacher to discuss PCM papers, or other small matters.

  • If there is an emergency (medical, hospitalization, death) you can call up at Reception and leave a message. The school takes responsibility for transmitting the message.
  • Please go through all the circulars carefully before calling at the front desk or asking for the teacher. School will not take any responsibility for passing the message to teacher in case of any events/ camps, loss of property, going out of town, not done her home work or discussing child’s progress. The same can and must be communicated only through the diary.
  • If you wish to communicate with specialist teachers, you can use the communication diary and the class teacher will pass on the diary to the concerned teacher. Please note that any communication with the specialist teacher may take more time than for the homeroom teacher.
  • In case there’s a delay in response to a note in the diary, then please re-write first in the diary itself and then get in touch with the reception to let them know of the delay. We will take immediate action

Communicating with Admin and Management:

In case of the HoS and the PYPC, you will be asked to specify the reason for your meeting through an appointment form which you can send physically or through email. Even if you do have access to personal mobile numbers or residence numbers of any school staff, please do not misuse it to communicate with them about any school-related matters. We appreciate that all communication is done through the school only.

You will appreciate it is not feasible for the teachers to leave their work, class & students to attend the phone calls as it will disturb the entire class. We also request you to treat all school staff with courtesy as they are strictly following the laid down procedures and policies.

With regards to Admin (Admissions / Transport / food / staff etc) related queries / complaints / feedback you can contact the respective Managers through the front desk / email    This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
